Enhancing Wallet Adoption and Blockchain Activity: OKX and Moongate at GM Vietnam

Background

Earlier this year Moongate partnered with GM Vietnam as the official web3 ticketing partner. After ticket sales had already commenced, OKX became the official ticketing sponsors of the event. While the OKX brand is fairly well known, its newly launched OKX Wallet and the Xlayer blockchain were still gaining traction. To boost these platforms, OKX collaborated with us to develop a solution that would boost product adoption through the use of our platform.

Key Objectives

The primary goals for this partnership were:

1. Enhance Visibility: Amplify awareness for the OKX Wallet and Xlayer among attendees and the broader market.
2. User Onboarding and Engagement: Attract and onboard new users to the OKX Wallet while driving activity on the Xlayer blockchain.
3. Streamlined Event Registration: Facilitate a seamless event registration process through the OKX Wallet’s events discovery feature, making it easy for users to engage with upcoming events directly within the app.

How We Did It

To address these objectives, several strategic solutions were deployed:

• Custom Event Page: We made a special ticket page right in the OKX Wallet, so it felt all in one place and easy to use.
• Register in the App: Attendees could sign up right within the wallet’s browser. No jumping through hoops.
• Perks for Using OKX Wallet: We gave a little nudge by offering goodies for buying tickets with the wallet.
• NFT Tickets on Xlayer: Every ticket was a unique digital collectible, living on the Xlayer blockchain.

Impact

The partnership yielded impressive results:

• Over 4,000 registrations were completed through the white-label ticketing page on Xlayer, illustrating the effectiveness of the integrated solutions.
• The ability to register for events directly through the OKX Wallet app significantly attracted new users, spotlighting the app’s utility and enhancing user engagement with the blockchain components.

The OKX-Moongate collaboration at GM Vietnam is a testament to the potential of blockchain technologies to revolutionize everyday processes like event ticketing.
